Terms of Agreement
By accessing this website or entering Pokerhallkoo Kaburra, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to every visitor, player, and guest who uses our website, books a table, or steps through our doors at 123 Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia.
If you do not accept these terms in full, you must not use this website or enter the venue. Pokerhallkoo Kaburra may update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the website or attendance at the venue after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Venue Access and Eligibility
Age Requirement
You must be at least 21 years of age to enter the poker room and participate in any poker games or tournaments. Valid government-issued photo identification is required for entry, and our staff may verify your age at any time during your visit.
- Minors are not permitted in the poker room or card lounge under any circumstances.
- Acceptable identification includes an Australian driver licence, passport, or proof-of-age card.
- Failure to produce valid identification when requested will result in refusal of entry or removal.
Right to Refuse Entry
Pokerhallkoo Kaburra reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the premises at its sole discretion. Reasons may include intoxication, disruptive behaviour, failure to comply with venue rules, or any conduct that compromises the safety or enjoyment of other guests. No refunds will be provided for refused entry or removal, and the venue may issue temporary or permanent bans.
Reservations and Cancellations
Booking Confirmation
All table reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Pokerhallkoo Kaburra. A reservation is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email or SMS from our team. The venue may require a deposit for certain bookings, and all reservations are held for 15 minutes past the booked time before the table may be released.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the reserved time to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking may incur a fee equal to 50% of the minimum buy-in. No-shows will be charged the full minimum buy-in. All fees are charged to the payment method on file.
Refunds
Refunds for cancelled reservations are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method. Refunds are subject to the cancellation policy above. No refunds are provided for refused entry or removal, and tournament buy-ins are non-refundable once the tournament begins.
Tournament Rules
Tournament Entry
Entry into any poker tournament at Pokerhallkoo Kaburra is subject to these terms and the specific tournament rules announced at the event. Buy-ins are payable in full before the tournament starts. Late entries may be permitted at the discretion of the tournament director, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to tournament play.
- All players must register with their legal name and valid identification.
- Seat assignments are determined by the tournament director and may not be changed without approval.
- Players who leave the table for more than 20 minutes may be blinded off.
- Any dispute about a hand must be raised before the next hand begins.
Prize Distribution
Prizes are distributed according to the tournament structure announced before the event. The venue reserves the right to modify the structure in exceptional circumstances, including changes to blind levels, payout percentages, or starting stacks. All prizes are paid in Australian dollars, and winners must provide valid identification to claim their prizes.
Conduct and Dress Code
Player Conduct
All players must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Collusion, cheating, or any form of unfair play is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban. Abusive language or behaviour towards staff or other players will also result in immediate removal. Mobile phones must be silenced at the poker tables.
- Do not discuss your hand while it is in play.
- Do not touch another player's chips or cards.
- Follow the dealer's instructions at all times.
Dress Code
Smart casual attire is required at Pokerhallkoo Kaburra. No singlets, thongs, or offensive clothing. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone not meeting the dress code. Poker-themed attire is welcome but must be tasteful and respectful of the venue's premium atmosphere.
Responsible Gambling

Pokerhallkoo Kaburra is committed to providing a safe and responsible poker environment. We encourage every player to set limits and play within their means. Our staff are trained to recognise signs of problem gambling and can provide information about support services on request.

Liability and Disclaimers
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Pokerhallkoo Kaburra is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website or attendance at the venue. This includes indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The venue is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property, and players participate in poker games at their own risk.
No Guarantees
Pokerhallkoo Kaburra does not guarantee winnings or outcomes in any poker game or tournament. All games are conducted in accordance with standard poker rules. The venue is not a casino and does not offer games of pure chance; poker is a game of skill and chance, and results vary.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the website or venue will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute may be referred to mediation before legal proceedings are commenced. This clause does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
